Koru Sauvignon Blanc 2007
New Release
“Our goal with the two Koru wines is to consistently create natural and individual wines that can be showpieces of what New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are capable of.
Natural because we do not believe in adding anything additional (acid, sugar, water) or artificial (fining agents etc) to our wine, we just want the sites and the seasons to show.” Jasper & Sally Raats
Jasper and Sally maintain and produce superb wines from 2 tiny single vineyards in Marlborough.
Sally previously worked closely with vineyards in Sancerre and then Clos Henri in Marlborough. Jasper heralds from the Raats family of winemakers in South Africa and also worked with the Henri Bourgeois team before setting up his own vineyard with Sally.
Koru wines are hand made from vine to bottle with minimal intervention. Described by one journalist as “Marlborough’s Grand Cru” the wines are built to last 10 + years. The packaging also reflects the quality of the wine within as only the premium products available are used.
